The role played by Final Cut Studio in No Country for Old Men
February 28, 2008
I am a huge movie buff, and I watch movies all the time. I have been thinking about what it would be like or look like to edit and do a whole movie with a Mac. Although, I have yet to see this movie, the news shows a promising future for Apple and Mac especially.
The role played by Final Cut Studio in No Country for Old Men: “In the making of No Country for Old Men, Joel and Ethan Coen prove ‚Äòjust how influential a Mac and the right software can be,‚Äô writes Jim Dalrymple (macworld.com). ‚ÄòThe movie won four Oscars at this year‚Äôs Academy Awards, including Best Picture. In fact, it is the first movie edited with a completely digital workflow on Mac to win the Oscar. ‚ÄòThey [Apple] made it really easy for us ‚Äî we cut now much the same way we cut on film [using Final Cut Pro]. It‚Äôs hugely faster,‚Äô said Ethan Coen.’”
